The Advantages of Organic Gardening

Author and organic gardener, Jayson Patrick, gives a gentle insight into the benefits of gardening the organic way.
Mr Patrick lists a number of advantages gained by growing organic foods in your own garden or container pots, and some of these include:
- taking control of the foods we consume;
- avoiding the use of harmful chemicals;
- improving the environment, rather than harming it;
- reducing food bills;
- recycling household waste that doesn’t harm, or just add to landfill sites;
- enhancing soil structure and soil fertility;
- conserving water resources and reducing soil erosion;
- preserving nutrients within the produce;

- promoting a healthier lifestyle for you and your family;
- increasing tastiness;
- having fun with your family.
